• Yes, I agree with these observations.

I don't run anymore. I prefer to go for a long brisk walk instead. It's extremely relaxing and a great way to mull over things, collect your thoughts and come up with new ideas.

Also, if you sit in front of the PC for ages you lose your creativity eventually. Just getting up and out of the house is refreshing in itself.

    Patti,

I have tried yoga and it is one of the best things to do to get fresh.

And regarding the comment, thanks for posting a comment on that post at Blogging Tips. I understood what you were trying to say.

Thanks for the commenting on this post.
  • I prefer aerobics, lifting weights or yoga. Physical activity in any form is great for the mind. The days I exercise I can focus much better. After a long holiday weekend with no exercise, I'm having trouble concentrating today.

I left a comment on Blogging Tips and said I'd take my advice but I should have worded it to say "our" advice, in your post about reading books. I couldn't edit my comment to change it.

Enjoying your blog. Have a great day!

  • Awesome post man... I mostly sit in front of my computer... That's why I didn't get much ideas to write posts. I think I should also try running.
  • Hi Ram,

  • Excellent guide. I will try to follow. Actually, I have started walking twice in a week. I need to make this good habit as regular.
  • Wow, Really nice article. I will start running very soon.
Can do anything for my blog
  • While Running or Jogging is practised when a person becomes Health Concious, but it seems to me now that there is some substance in what you say that Running or Jogging can make a person BLOGGCONCIOUS.
    THANKS FOR THE POST.
  • Intresting to Read, thanks a lot, for the post with substance.

    Thanks for all the comments.

    Jan,

Of course it doesn't need to running but a physical activity would do. Play football if you like. One of the main objectives is to get away from the computer.
  • Bummer. I usually wake up late, just half an hour to spare before reporting for work. Can I substitute running with something less strenuous like washing the dishes or ironing clothes? LOL. I'm usually find myself creative with blog post ideas when doing tasks not related to blogging. The more repetitive the task all the more ideas tend to come. :)
  • nice post, helpful to people for fresh air. I would like to share these post with everyone. Thanks
  • Wonderful information. Keep it up ram karthik... all the best.
  • great post! as a regular blogger i sometimes have days i feel like my head is full of cotton wool, i stare at the screen and generally get distracted by some interesting website, it can take hours to write a post but just getting some fresh air can make all the difference
  • Ya my friends too advice to run and take some fresh air. i would like to show this post to them.

As a runner myself, I can say that you are dead on....I can actually do a "practice" run with a post all in the matter of one hour (or in runner's terms....7 miles)
  • Great posts! I am actually just about to go for a jog myself... I find it a great way to start the day with a clear head. Plus the ideas really start to flow.
  • Excellent content here and a nice writing style too - keep up the great work!
  • If you spend too much time in front of a computer, you run out of ideas. But take a break, go for a jog and come back to your computer. You'll be amazed how well the ideas flow.

    Rajeev,

That's exactly what I meant. The quote says it all.

    Thanks for the comment.
  • Excellent post Ram. All work and no play can freeze the mind.

Nowadays,so many online brainstorming web services are coming up that help immensely in churning out new ideas.
