• I try to be on twitter as little as possible. I try to update it with 3-5 messages a day just general niceness, then put links to things I'm promoting etc maybe once every few days.

    Is this enough? not enough?
  • To be honest, I check twitter just twice per month, or so... I still don't get it -- what could twitter do for my business and networking compared with a blog?

In my opinion is a redundant service, I'd rather focus on blogging alone... it's just another micro-blogging platform.

Not sure if we as bloggers should focus on it... as we dilute our efforts from effective blogging, don't you think?
  • Hi,
My usage of Twitter as a newbie to the net is purely as I read the instructions from somewhere!
Use it to tell everyone what you're up to for 140 characters a day!
I didn't know one could spend 5 hrs a day in there!
I can't find my way around in there yet.
eg. Someone twittered me & said they were stalking me & I wondered how I talk to them, or invite them inside my enclosure!
    Mary
  • twitter is the best place to interact with bloggers and promote your blogs
  • I've been using Twitter for a few months now, but have only properly joined in after installing clients on my desktop (Twirl) and on my mobile phone (ceTwit).

Much better and less time-consuming than refreshing a browser page!

It can be a great resource depending on who is following you, random Q+As work well in this system.
  • Well i just joined twitter today. I will try to follow these tips not to fall into spending so much time in twitter.
