Guest post is nothing but a person writing a post for some other blog which in turn gives him/her a back link(just a simple definition. It is much more than that) . Guest blogging can get you good results whether you are doing it on other blogs or allowing others to do on your blog. Both has it’s own advantages. Did you know that you can get great results by offering guest post to other blogs/allowing guest post in your blog?

What you get by writing for other blogs?
1. Traffic, Traffic And Traffic:
You get great traffic because you are getting linked from that blog. But guest blogging in very small blogs cannot be useful. When you write the post, you try to give the best content. So it goes like this, Good content = Good Traffic and Best Content = Very High Traffic(note that your post will get the result I mentioned only when it is written on a pretty famous blog).
2. New Readers And Subscribers:
As you get more traffic, these readers will most probably be new to your blog. And especially if you are writing for a different niche blog, almost 80% of the traffic will be new readers. When I say different niche, it should not be totally different. If you have a blog about blogging or making money online then you even blog for Technology blog because the readers of that blog will most probably be bloggers and you might already know that 90% of bloggers want to read about how they can improve their blogging or how they can earn more money. Hence they will come to your blog. If you write the best content, more than 50% are sure to become your subscribers.
3. Fame:
You get famous in the blogging niche. New bloggers need this fame. When you write a guest post for a big blog, then the whole blogosphere start talking about you. You get famous and that will result in many subscribers. Before this fame dissolves, you have to capture the hearts of the people with great content.
4. Link Back And Increase In PR:
When you write a guest post, you are linked. So when you blog for a big blog with high PR, then you are also going to get an increase in PR. If you Guest blog for many high PR blogs, then you are sure to get a high PR too. Guest blogging can increase your back links by many times.
What Do You Get By Allowing Others To Guest Post On Your Blog?
1. A Day’s Off:
When you have someone else blog for you in your blog, you get a day’s off. You can leave your working room and go out with your family. By getting a day’s off, you get more free time. You can think for ideas about next post or try to bring any improvement in your blog.
2. Content For Later use:
If you are a blogger with a posting frequency, then you can save that day’s blog post which you would have blogged and have it written some other day. When you are suffering from the blogger’s block, at that time you can publish the post you have saved.
3. More Traffic:
Allowing guest posts also get you traffic. When you allow someone to make a guest post in your blog, that person always tries to give you the best content. And as you know, the best contents always get hot in anyone of the social voting sites. They may also get linked by big bloggers. More traffic=More Subscribers.
4. Increase In The Activity Of Your Blog:
You probably won’t agree on this. But it is true. When you allow a person to guest post on your blog, the other readers of your blog will wish to write a post for you. But normally few people don’t accept content just like that. Some readers will start commenting on the blog to get noticed and then will submit their guest post article. As a result, man people will start commenting and there will be an increase in the activity of your blog.
I like to allow guest posts as well as write guest posts for other blogs. In the blogosphere there are bloggers who like guest blogging and also those who don’t. Few bloggers support Guest Blogging while few other bloggers don’t like guest blogging. Also one of my favorite blogger had a sequence of guest posts few days ago.Do you like guest blogging? Have you written any before? Do you allow others to write on your blog?
