I have mail IDs in Gmail, Yahoo, and few other sites. I use the Gmail ID for contacting and official purpose. I also use Yahoo sometimes for registering at money making programs. There are cases where I use my mail ID, which is not official, to download e-Books
that require email ID. When you register at these, you will get mail to your spam/bulk folder. Though many people don’t check these, it has become my habit to check them every time I check my mail. I don’t recommend you to register at what ever those mails say. I’m telling you just to give it a read. I go through every mail in the bulk folder.

Spam Folder

Here are three main reasons to check your spam folder when you have time:

1. Write Attractive Headlines

I’m not kidding y saying this. You can indeed improve your headlines writing skill. The headlines which I get in my spam folder has made me to think. Sometimes I also get attracted at the headline and cannot stop myself from clicking it. These headlines have also inspired me to write headlines. In fact I have taken ideas from those mails and also got content ideas from those mails.

2. Know Which Sells And Which Don’t

Reading these mails which educate you on which type of products sell and which don’t. It is very good for young and newbie affiliate marketers. Few of the products which the people send to your email will be best sellers. There has been days when I used to receive the same product from many affiliate marketers. Two such products were Mike Filsame’s Butterfly Marketing and Joel Comm’s e-Book on Google AdSense. These books were good and also got many sales. The affiliate commissions were also good for those two products.

3. Don’t Miss Any Important Email

Due to some reason, your important mails could go to the spam folder. So be sure to check the spam folder in your mail as and when possible. Though I have a separate email for official use, I send mails to few of my readers with other IDs. There have been instances where few of my important mails got into the Spam folder. Since I read my spam folder, I was able to reply quick. So don’t miss any of your important mails by not checking the Spam folder.

Do you read your spam folders or bulk folders regularly? Have you found any important mail going into the Spam folder? Share your views in the comments.

As a blogger, you should be able to write well. To get many subscribers to your blog, you should be consistent. With almost every blog writing one post everyday, you should keep up with the blogosphere by writing at least once in two or three days. And when you become a freelance writer, you need to write almost everyday and sometimes even twice a day. To manage at those times, you need to practice from now. Here are few tips which you can follow to have something to write everyday:

Writing

1. Do A Product Review

Select a product from Amazon or any product related to your blog’s niche and write a complete review about the product. This will help you in developing the art of writing as well as reviewing any product. This might also get you an additional income. Add affiliate ID to the product and every product you sell will make you money. When writing a review, make sure you don’t be 100% positive or do a blatant promotion. Write both good and bad of the product.

2. Write A Paid Post

If you have a blog registered at Payperpost or any other paid to post sites, write a review about one of the advertisers. Don’t take opportunities which are not surrounded to your blog’s niche.

3. Write Crap

Yes! Write crap but don’t post it on your blog. Take a writing pad and scribble something in it. To tell the truth, this method has helped me a lot in getting content ideas. When I start scribbling something, I write whatever that comes to my mind and one of them turns to be content for my blog that day.

4. Write Guest Posts

When you have written a post for your blog on any specific day, try to write a guest post for a famous blog. Write good content, then send it to any blogger who is in need of guest posts and send it to him/her. This will help to build your profile online. If you are a freelance writer, this will help you to get more opportunities with a little extra pay.

5. Write an e-book

When you have done all the above and still left with extra time, then start writing an e-book about your niche. If you feel the e-book needs to be sold, then sell it at eBay or any other site. If you feel like giving the e-book for free, then give it to your blog subscribers. This can increase your blog’s subscriber count tremendously. You can build an authority for yourself.

Do you write regularly? Have you tried any of the above 5 options? What’s your experience with them? Please share it in comments?

If you have been blogging and making very less money from it, you should try to get sponsors to your blog. It is not very easy to get an advertiser for your blog. Problogger Darren Rowse, once wrote on how to get advertisers for your blog. You should have good content, good traffic and also targeted readers. If you have all the things stated by Darren, then you should be having a couple of advertisers by now. If you still don’t have it, then the following might be the reasons why you are not getting them (My guess). Continue Reading ->

1 Nov, 2007  |  Written by Ramkarthik  |  under Blogging Tips

It’s great for me to tell that I have at last stumbled 1000 pages. I joined StumbleUpon somewhere around May 2007 and started to use the site only after July 2007. Before July, I never knew how to Stumble pages or how to find new pages. I never knew the beautiful features StumbleUpon has. To tell the truth, I’m not a great at Digg or Netscape, but I’m pretty good in at StumbleUpon. Few days back I reached stumbling 1000 posts/websites.

Why Choose StumbleUpon?

One of my article, few months back, was stumbled by many people and it got me good number of readers. Few reasons why I choose StumbleUpon are:

1. It drives good traffic.

2. It sends traffic to articles which are even a month old.

3. You don’t need 20 or 30 thumbs up to get traffic. Even a couple of stumbles can get many readers.

4. StumbleUpon is for blogs of all topics. It doesn’t concentrate on a specific niche.

5. The chances for your articles to get famous is more. Reaching the buzz page for a specific category is not very tough and that can get you from 2000-15000 or even more visitors.

6. You can make friends more easily.

7. After all, it feels great to be a StumbleUpon user (Yes it feels great to be users of other sites too).

After reaching 1000+ pages of giving thumbs up and rarely thumbs down, my vote has started to matter a lot. My stumbles have sent from 50-100 visits to few blog posts. Not only pages, but also the number of fans you have and number of pictures and videos you have rated matter. I have 65 Fans (At the moment of writing the post). I will be adding a lot more users from today. So if you have a StumbleUpon account, then add me from here and then if possible send me a message there.
