10 Things You Can Blog About On The Weekends

It is weekend. Bloggers normally don’t post their best articles at this time. They always prefer working days because on weekends most people spend their offline. I saw a post today on “Is It Worth Blogging On Weekends?“. Normally I give links to other good blog posts just like what many other bloggers do. I don’t write any good post on Sundays. Monday is one of my favorite because I get linked somewhere in the blogosphere on Sunday and get new readers on Monday. To make them stay in my blog, I write good posts on Mondays and few other days.
If you don’t want to write a good post and make it go unnoticed then here are 10 things you can do on the weekends:
- Write a Links Round-Up which includes the best posts in the blogosphere. Make sure the list of links don’t cross the limit
- Write a post that includes your blog’s post
- Give links to your commentators’ blog posts like what David Culpepper does.
- Post a video related to your niche
- Publish a collection of pictures related to your topic
- Ask your readers a question or set up a poll
- Write your goals for the upcoming week
- Write about your blog’s achievement over the past week
- Give a freebie to your readers. Everyone likes free things
- Blog on what your readers can do if they don’t have anything to blog about in the weekend
The list will go on. But why not you add something to the conversation? Try making the “10 things..” to “15 things..” or even more. What do you do in the weekend? List it in the comments from “11″. Have a nice weekend.
Nice Idea Ram! I have erase my sunday schedule for weeks now. Before, I was reviewing my top commentator as my reward for commenting at my blog. May be I should restart that activity again!

Anand, It is not that your readers don’t follow the weekend posts but they don’t care much for those articles. Do see the link I provided in the post for why it not worth writing on weekends.

Very nice idea there.
This is what I have to share about my weekend.
Saturday :
1.I will have a draft of what I want to post the next week.
2 This will prevent me from having blog’s block the next week.
Sunday :
1. It is a family day.
2. A day of rest , a day of worship, a day where we visit friends, have picnic, have BBQ cookout, go to the lake or beach.
3. In the evening, I might send out a post that I have written the week before.
As a married woman, I have to keep a balance.

So Weekend is for my family. Sound good ?

I think writing about achievements of the blog over the one week is a nice idea as it helps the writer recap and think if the blog is moving in the right direction.
